Rona Halbreich took her Cocker Spaniel, Maggie, and Border Collie, Kody, to the USDAA Regionals in Dallas and had a great weekend. Maggie was entered in Team (PVP) and PIII Jumpers. Maggie Q'd in PIII Jumpers and teamed with Stacey Greene. Maggie was clean in all her runs (Jumpers. Snooker, Gamblers, Standard, Relay), Q'd in PVP Jumpers and Q'd and earned a 7th place in PVP Snooker. Overall The team of Maggie and Tryst (Team name: OMG!!) Q'd, taking 11th place in a field of 28 performance teams. Rona was so very proud of how 12 year old Maggie kept up with all... Clean in all her runs. Blake and Kody did a phenomenal job. A Q and 2nd place in PIII Jumpers. Teaming with Jack and Annie they Q'd and placed 5th in the overall standings for Team (PVP). Kody was clean in all his runs and earned a Q and 11th place in PVP Jumpers, Q and 3rd place in PVP Snooker, Q and 10th place in PVP Gamblers, and a Q and 3rd place in PVP Standard. To top the PVP event off in P16" - Blake and Kody were the 3rd highest overall scoring for the weekend. The big events were Perf. Speed Jumping and Perf. Grand Prix. Hoping that Kody and Blake would be able to run clean and fast enough to earn "byes' into the semi-finals at Nationals, Kody had a voucher in to the PGP Regional Finals and Q'd with a 6th place and a semi-finalist spot in the Nationals. In PSJ Round 1, he Q'd with a 3rd place, moving him into PSJ Regional Finals where he Q'd with a 3rd place and a semi-finalist spot in the Nationals. All in all a great weekend for Kody and Blake! Rona is really looking forward to the Nationals in Kentucky where Maggie will run in Veterans!!! Best of Luck from all BRAT's!
