I'M FREE

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I raised my head when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day
To bark, to love, to herd or play.
I loved my home, would love to stay
but now it’s time to go away.

If my passing’s left a void,
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a hug, a kiss.
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be burdened not with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, mom’s loving touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief;
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Jordan started as a cheerleader to her brother Nazir, always standing on two feet waving at the sidelines.   Mom finally tried her out and she worked her heart out for her.   Jordan earned her MX and AXJ in AKC, Advanced Agility Dog in USDAA, and Elite Agility and Elite Jumpers in NADAC.

She retired in 2002.
